FERON Solar is once again a pioneer in innovation and in the development of products with highest safety standards. The DTI test was also developed for the new module standard IEC 61730 Edition 2. This test defines the necessary electrical insulation by backsheets in solar modules.
So far, the thickness of the backsheet has been defined by the partial discharge test. However, this was partly due to the measurement methodology itself as well as by its definition, with sometimes very large deviations in the measured values. Through the introduction of the DTI test, there is now a precisely defined measurement methodology for test institutes and a maximum safety for module manufacturers and users of environmentally friendly solar energy. The test is defined in IEC TS 62788-2 and will be referred in IEC 61730 Edition 2 in the future. FERON Solar has significantly advanced this safety aspect and has also developed this new measurement method.
FERON Solar backsheet neoX CPC and neoX CPE already meet the latest standard according to IEC 61730 Edition 2 - naturally including the requirements with regard to DTI. There are variants for 1000V and 1500V systems.
By actively participating in standards committees of the IEC for many years, FERON Solar is setting the standards of tomorrow with other well-known companies in the solar business.
